- A four-year, undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
- The ability to meet or exceed admission requirements to the University of Tennessee Graduate School
- Graduate Management and Admissions Test (GMAT) scores. The applicant may be exempt from the GMAT requirement if he or she:
- Already has a graduate degree, or
- Has an excellent record of professional achievement and an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Note: taking the GMAT is strongly recommended for applicants with less than 10 years of aerospace or defense industry experience. - Proficiency in spoken and written English. International applicants whose native language is not English must have taken the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) within the last two years. For information on the TOEFL, including schedules, visit www.TOEFL.com.
Admissions Criteria
During the selection process, program leaders consider several factors:
- A Career track reflecting significant professional achievement and increasing scope of responsibilities
- Applicant's business experience to actively contribute to the learning process
- Being Professionally positioned to quickly apply learning to his/her organization
- Strong recommendations and support from the sponsoring organization
- An academic record (combined with standardized test scores when required) that demonstrates the academic aptitude and commitment to complete and succeed in a rigorous MBA program while continuing to work
Deadlines
The application deadline for international applicants is July 15. The priority deadline for U.S. applicants is October 30. Qualifying applications received after October 30 will be reviewed and students admitted on a space-available basis. All parts of the application package, including official transcripts, test scores and supporting materials, must be completed and received before the application can be reviewed. Admission decisions will be communicated to applicants with completed applications beginning in early October.
