The Aerospace & Defense MBA Program selects experienced, high-potential professionals for the one year program that begins each January. All entering students begin and complete the program at the same time in the lock-step curriculum. Applications are carefully reviewed by program. To be accepted to the University of Tennessee Aerospace & Defense MBA Program, students must complete two separate applications and do so in parallel. Students must apply to:

  1. The University of Tennessee Graduate School; and
  2. The Aerospace & Defense MBA program.

The University of Tennessee Graduate School acts as a clearinghouse of sorts, collecting basic information on all applicants. They verify the accuracy of applicant-provided information and verify the legitimacy of all academic records. They then verify that each student meets minimum qualifications for the university as a whole. They then notify the various colleges and departments administering programs of an applicant’s eligibility or ineligibility for admission.

The Aerospace & Defense MBA program uses more detailed information solicited in the Aerospace & Defense MBA application to assess an applicant’s qualification for this specific program. Applicants should complete the two applications in parallel – simultaneously, rather than sequentially. Both applications should be completed and submitted at the first opportunity to expedite reviews and decision making by leaders at the Graduate School and the Aerospace & Defense MBA program.
