More than 100 professionals from the Aerospace and Defense industry have participated in the Aerospace & Defense MBA program since it began in 2004. Graduates of the Aerospace & Defense MBA program work in management and leadership roles for organizations all across government and commercial sectors of the industry. They maintain close ties with each other, with the university and the with Aerospace & Defense MBA program. The University of Tennessee provides formal and informal organizations and communication networks to facilitate life-long interaction between classmates, faculty members and the university.

In developing and delivering education, training and research programs supporting the aerospace industry, UT enjoys the counsel and support of senior executives from all across the aerospace and defense industry. The UT Aerospace Advisory Council meets annually on campus to advise UT leaders on education and research needs of the industry and provide feedback on current offerings and initiatives. The Aerospace & Defense MBA program and UT Center for Executive Education belong to and support numerous aerospace and defense industry associations, including:
- Aviation Week and Space Technology - The University of Tennessee Center for Executive Education and Aviation Week and Space Technology magazine have established a formal partnership to support advanced educational opportunities for leaders in the aerospace and defense industry. Aerospace & Defense MBA students enjoy a free, year-long subscription to McGraw Hill’s “AWIN” web-site. The subscription provides students access to many of the top trade publications serving the industry as well as data bases helpful to day-to-day work tasks and academic work and research. UT and Aviation Week also partner on numerous other initiatives, including industry roundtables, symposiums and other educational and research initiatives.
- Mr. Walt Rossbach – Mr. Rossbach serves as communication counsel to the UT Center for Executive Education and the Aerospace & Defense MBA program. He is a highly respected leader in the area of public relations and communications for aerospace and defense activities.
