Ultimately, organizational success hinges on a leader’s ability to communicate with and influence others. The Aerospace and Defense MBA program at the University of Tennessee challenges students and helps them reflect on their current operating styles and the way they impact others. These invaluable opportunities for self-reflection occur in the form of personal assessments, 360-degree feedback, group exercises, and role plays. Based on the outcomes of these activities, each student works with the guidance of an executive coach to prepare an individualized Leadership Development Plan to help facilitate the development of leadership skills and strategic perspectives. Leadership Developement Plan advisors remain available for at least one year after graduation.

The Leadership Development Program curriculum and coaching are custom-designed to address each student's identified strengths and weaknesses as a leader and follower.
