Dr. Rosenberg became the Medical Director of Hospitalist Program at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in March 2009. In his current capacity Dr. Rosenberg manages the group to ensure effective performance in conjunction with the corporate office and hospital administration. In his prior position of Lead Hospitalist for the same program, he oversaw day-to-day operations for the group, reporting to the previous Medical Director. During his tenure with Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Dr. Rosenberg has served in a variety of roles including a seat on the Medical Executive Committee, the Richmond Quality Board for Healthcare, and the Clinical Strategies Forum. He also was one of 12 physicians selected for the Physician Design Committee which oversaw deployment of the Epic platform in the 14-hospital system. Dr. Rosenberg is a member of a number of professional organizations including the Society of Hospital Medicine, the American College of Physicians, and the Society of General Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University and followed it by internal medicine residency training at the Pennsylvania State University. Recognizing the increased attention to business, finance, marketing, management, strategic development, capital and budget, revenue, and cost-containment principles within healthcare, Dr. Rosenberg elected to obtain his MBA through the University of Tennessee in 2011.

Dr. Brian Holroyd is the Professor and founding Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He is the Co-Lead of the provincial Emergency Clinical Network and is the Edmonton Zone Clinical Department Head for Emergency for Alberta Health Services. His Emergency Medicine residency training was at the UCSF program in Fresno, California, where he subsequently was a faculty member. From 1993 to 2010, he was the Chief of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alberta Hospital. Dr. Holroyd is the Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty Committee for Emergency Medicine and is a Senior Oral Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Brian has been married to his wife Shauna for 30 years. They have two children, Brady and Bryn, who are both in college. His interests include ED administration, cardiac emergencies, Emergency Medicine informatics, and clinical decision support. Dr. Holroyd wants to develop his leadership skills and expertise in operations management through the PEMBA program.

Dr. Madden is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the Univeristy of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and Chief of Neurosurgery and Medical Director of the Neurosirgical ICU at Parkland Health & Hospital System. He grauated from Stanford University in Stanford, California, in 1988, and received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, in 1995. His internship and residency were at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Since then, Dr. Madden has held numerous faculty positions. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and is licensed in Ohio and Texas. Dr. Madden is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Texas Medical Society, among others.

Dr. Hoffmann's first position after graduating from the Geisenger Family Practice residency was as a National Health loan recipient at a community health center in rural Pennsylvania. He worked as a staff physician at Keystone Community health center for a total of ten years during which Dr. Hoffmann served as the Director of Quality, Assistant Medical Director, and Medical Director for the last five years of his commitment. In 2004, Dr. Hoffmann left Keystone to start a new Hospitalist program at Chambersburg Hospital. Over the last six years the program has grown into a service that employs twenty providers and covers two hospitals in the Summit Health system. As the group's medical director, he works closely with the senior management team to improve the quality and efficiency of the health system. Dr. Hoffmann has worked hard to align his group's goals with that of his employer's. His team works collaboratively with all departments in the system to improve patient outcomes and inpatient hospital care. As the country moves forward with healthcare reform, Dr. Hoffmann is hoping that an MBA will better prepare him for the challenges that are ahead and is expecting to stretch and grow both personally and professionally during his work in the upcoming year. Specifically, he wants to improve his interpersonal skills and presentation skills and feels the need to enhance his understanding of the financial and economic forces that are shaping health care today. Overall, Dr. Hoffmann feels an MBA will better position himself and his group to be successful in the ever changing health care market.

Dr. Arbittier was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended the University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate studies and his medical school training. After an Internal Medicine internship at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, he returned to the University of Pennsylvania to complete a residency in Anesthesiology. His career as an attending anesthesiologist started in Watertown, NY, where he practiced for 8 years. He served as Chairman of Anesthesiology, Medical Director of Surgical Services, and President of the Medical Staff of Samaritan Medical Center. In 2003 Dr. Arbittier moved his family to York, Pennsylvania, and became Chairman of Anesthesiology and Medical Director of Perioperative Services at York Hospital, a 550-bed Level One trauma center. He is a senior leader in the Surgical Service Line of WellSpan Health and is helping to develop perioperative services at the new WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital, which will open in 2012. Dr. Arbittier is pursuing an MBA to supplement his ??_on the job training??_ with a formal, structured, and thorough foundation in accounting, finance, strategy, and leadership.

Dr. Algurashi obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdul Aziz University in 2001. He completed the Royal College Anesthesia Residency Training Program at the University of Manitoba in 2008. He has been with the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Manitoba as lecturer and attending anesthesiologist since 2008. Recently, he accepted the administrative role as medical manager of Obstetric Anesthesia at the Health Science Centre, Winnipeg. He is involved in research and academic activities at the department of Anesthesia at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Sharieff is the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine for Palomar-Pomerado Health System in San Diego, California. She is also the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine for California Emergency Physicians. She is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego. Dr Sharieff is a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer on topics in pediatric emergency medicine and has been awarded several regional and national teaching awards. She has served on many national committees including: Past Chair of the ACEP PediatricEmergency Medicine Committee; Past Chair of the ACEP Pediatric Section; the ACEP Public Relations Committee; the AAEM Board of Directors; and was also the Co-Chair of the AAEM Education Committee. She is well published and has authored multiple research articles, book chapters and review articles in the field of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She chose to pursue a physician MBA in order to help her gain an better understanding of how hospital administration is structured in terms of finances, physician oversight and motivation, and to learm more about the future of healthcare.

Dr. Nelcamp completed medical school in 1986, and subsequently completed an Anesthesiology residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After working for seven years in East Tennessee, Dr. Nelcamp left to establish a practice near St. Louis, Missouri. This practice became affiliated with Anesthesia Management Solutions, LLC (AmSol). AmSol provides a wide variety of non-clinical management and anesthesia practice development services to groups and hospitals. Dr. Nelcamp serves as a Regional Medical Director for AmSol and has started and led some of its practices. Although Dr. Nelcamp has learned much through experience over the years, he is participating in PEMBA to increase his skill set and formalize his administrative and business education.

Dr. Shad completed his medical training through the US Navy in 2000. He went on to serve as Depeartment Chair of Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy at Naval Hospital in Jacksonville. In 2003, he left the Navy and entered into private practice by joining a single-specialty group in Oceanside, located north of San Diego, California. After four years, he became the president of North County Gastroenterology and is deeply involved in running the business aspects of this private practice. He decided to enroll in the PEMBA program to obtain a better understanding of the many aspects of business. Dr. Frank graduated from the University of California in Berkeley, California, in 1982 with a degree in Chemistry, which he followed in 1987 with his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Frank then did his residency and internship in Internal Medicine at the Highland Alameda County Hospital in Oakland, California. He is currently serving as the Medical Director of Inpatient Case Management at the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California. These entities are housed in a 40,000 square foot building. Dr. Campbell with one other partner, developed a 7 building 8 acre business park which houses Health Care related businesses. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Rocky Mountain Surgery Center and is the leader of the Orthopedic group. Dr. Warner is an Interventional Cardiologist and an Associate Professor of Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where he holds the Jim and Norma Smith Distinguished Chair for Interventional Cardiology and the Audre and Bernard Rapoport Chair in Cardiovascular Research. He also serves as the Medical Director of the University of Texas Southwestern Heart, Lung and Vascular Center and as an Assistant Vice-President for Hospital Planning in the UT Southwestern Health System administration. Dr. Warner attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and performed an internship, residency, and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center then joined the Duke Cardiology faculty, where he worked until returning to UT Southwestern in 2003. In additional to his UT Southwestern duties, Dr. Warner serves as the President of the Dallas Division of the American Heart Association. Dr. Lindsey received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky in 1996. She went on to complete a formative General Surgery internship at the University of Louisville. Following this year she changed career paths graduating from the Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kentucky in 2000. Dr. Lindsey went on to serve her patients in both the Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine fields. In 2008, she committed fully to service in Hospital Medicine, becoming a Facility Medical Director. In 2009 she was named a Regional Medical Director for Hospital Medicine with TeamHealth. In her quest to become a better physician leader she has elected to enroll in the Physician Executive MBA program at the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Conyers is currently employed at the McCall Memorial Hospital in McCall, Idaho. After graduating from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, she received her Medical Degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. Her surgical internship and residency in General Surgery were at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Holmes went on for residency training in Urology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Hew currently serves as the Director of the Emergency Department at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as well as the Co-Chairman of the Emergency Medical Committee and Chairman of the Utilization Review Committee. He is also the Medical Director at John Jay College of Criminal Justice at City University of New York and Medical Director of the Central Park Medical Unit. Having received his Bachelors Degree in 1986 from Pace University in New York, Dr. Hew went on to receive his Medical Degree from the State University of New York in 1990. He followed with an internship at the New York Hospital of Queens and a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr. Saydjari was born in Wisconsin and spent his childhood in Oklahoma and New York. He attended undergraduate school at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he graduated in 1982 with a degree in biochemistry. He obtained his Medical Degree and completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. During medical school and residency, Dr. Saydjari published more than 30 scientific articles in various medical journals and has spoken at national meetings mostly on the subject of cancer. He became certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1993 and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1995. Since completing his training in 1992, Dr. Saydjari has resided and practiced surgery in Crawfordsville, Indiana where he has lived with his wife and raised his two children. There he has served in a number of capacities including Board of Directors of Choice Care Network, Inc., Chairman of the Resource and Utilization Management Committee at Culver Union Hospital, Board of Directors of Culver Union Hospital and Chief of Staff at SCMC. In addition, he currently serves as Chairman of the Surgery Department at SCMC as well as the Vice President of Medical Affairs. He has previously served as a Member of the Health Care Policy Committee of the American Society of General Surgeons, a member of the Board of Directors of Athens Medical Group, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Indiana State Medical Association and a founding Member of the Athens Medical Group, a 16-physician multi-specialty group and ambulatory surgery center. Dr. Schleusener is the President and Partner of Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center in Rapid City, Dakota. Having received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Nebraska, he continued his education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and followed his Medical Degree with a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center. After this, Dr. Schleusener served as an Assistant Professor at the Division of Orthopedics at the University of Utah Medical Center. He has published a number of research papers on spinal surgery and holds certifications from numerous boards, such as the American Orthopedic Surgery Board. Dr. Schleusener is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Singh was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and completed all of his education at McMaster University and at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Hayden is the President of Onto Orthopedics in Plano, Texas, after serving as President and CEO of Blurbcom Company and CEO of Surgicad Corporation, both in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1985 with his Medical Degree and received his Ph. D. in Cell Biology and Anatomy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Prill is an Oncologist originally from Texas and has been in private practice in Bristol, Tennessee since 1997. She is on the hospital board as well as the physician network board and is Senior Oncologist in our practice and Director of the Breast Center.

Dr. Chronister is an Anesthesiologist in a single specialty private practice in Concord, North Carolina. She is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Upon graduation from the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas in 1989, she entered the United States Army. After completing her residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in 1993, Tara remained on active duty as a staff Anesthesiologist until 1997. Dr. Mazurek obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the Loyola University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois in 1975. After that, she attended the Stritch School of Medicine at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, getting her degree in 1978, and followed it with an internship at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Loyola Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Mazurek is currently employed at the Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where she is also the Appointed Quality Management Policy Coordinator and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Mazurek is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Farrell was born and raised in southwest suburban Chicago. He attended John Carroll University, Loyola Medical School, and completed an Orthopaedic residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1985. He joined Parkview Orthopedic Group and has been a practicing partner since 1985. His interests include joint replacement surgery and arthroscopy. Dr. Farrell was actively involved as one of the team doctors for the Chicago White Sox baseball team from 1985 until 2004. He has been a past Chairman of the Orthopaedic department at three hospitals and currently is the chair of the Orthopaedic co-management section at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. Dr Farrell is married to Renee Decoursey and they have three children, Courtney, William, and Jordan. He is interested in pursuing an MBA to help him with group management as well as hospital departmental development. A consulting role in the future remains a possibility as well.

Dr. Rayes received his Medical Degree form King Saud University in 2002 and did his residency in Family Medicine and fellowship in both Academic and Sports Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada. He orked for two years as a lecturer at the university of Toronto and a community Family Physician and Sports Physician. Currently Dr. Rayes works as such at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, representing the Family Medicine department in Medical Quality Management Committee. Dr. Rayes believes that the Physician Executive MBA program will provide him with the knowledge and skill set to help bridge the gap between the medical and business world, especially in the evolving Sport and Exercise Medicine field.
